You can almost hear the squeals of excitement coming from children when they lay their eyes on the North Bethesda outdoor play structure for the first time. This large play equipment has been designed to challenge children in multiple ways whether it’s improving their coordination and balance on the angled Balance Beam or navigating the Single Row Pebble Bridge which twists and turns when stood on. After they’ve successfully navigated that, it’s onto the Overhead Straight Snake Loop Ladder where children must coordinate left and right hands at the same time as swinging their body. These movements build upper body strength and repeated use will ensure a defined muscle tone so they can tackle even more challenging play equipment with ease. The Overhead Straight Swinging Ring Ladder poses an adventure that many children will take a while to master. Regular monkey bars are easy enough, but when you have rings that are in movement it makes getting to the Pebble Climber on the other side all the more difficult.
